Foreplay Events, LLC, doing business as Foreplay Golf Company (“Foreplay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains the information we collect when you use our website or Foreplay Player App, register for an event, purchase merchandise, request sponsorship information, or communicate with us.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping details, team name, event preferences, transaction details, customer-support messages, and information you voluntarily provide in forms. Payment card information is collected and processed directly by Square and is not stored by Foreplay.
We may also collect device, browser, approximate location, referral source, page-view, and conversion information through essential site logs and analytics technologies.
Foreplay Player App
When you use the app, we keep your sign-in email and name, the profile details you choose to enter and edit, your profile photo if you add one, your team participation and invite records, the scores your team enters, and notes you write on holes (shared in the event diary unless you make one private). Face ID stays on your phone; we never receive it.
Group Chat is a shared room for signed-in players. Messages, replies, reactions, and photos you post are visible to other signed-in players. We keep your acceptance of the chat terms and the reports, blocks, and moderation actions needed to operate the room. You can report a message, block a player, or mute Group Chat. Foreplay staff review reports and may remove content or suspend sending.
If you allow notifications, we keep your device's push token so we can send the kinds you choose: changes to your event, event updates, your team, Group Chat replies or mentions, and offers if you opt in. You can change these in the app under Profile › Notifications, or turn them off in your phone's Settings; signing out stops them on that phone.
You can delete your account in the app under Profile › Delete account. That deletes your sign-in, profile, photo, support messages, and hole notes; your team's scores and results, and registration and payment records, stay with your team and with Foreplay's records. Your Group Chat messages show as “[deleted]” and photos you posted there are removed. Reports may be kept for staff review and safety. You can also request account deletion without the app.
How we use information
- Process purchases, registrations, refunds, and event communications.
- Deliver tickets, sponsorship materials, receipts, and customer support.
- Operate the Player App and administer team participation.
- Measure website performance and improve our events and services.
- Send marketing communications where permitted and honor opt-outs.
- Prevent fraud, protect our systems, and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers
We share only the information needed for trusted providers to perform services for us. These providers may include Square for payments, Google for analytics and campaign measurement, Meta and HubSpot for permitted campaign measurement and customer communications, Supabase for application data, authentication, and first-party form submissions, Vercel for website hosting, and email, messaging, fulfillment, and professional-service providers. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Text messaging
Text-message consent is optional. Informational/event texts and promotional/marketing texts use separate, unchecked choices, and each scope is recorded only when you affirmatively select it. We retain the exact consent language, purpose, source, date and time, and mobile number to document your choice. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing. We may share it only with aggregators and providers that deliver our text-message services. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, START to resume, or HELP for help. Cookies and analytics
Essential technologies support checkout, security, and saved privacy choices. With your permission, Google Analytics helps us understand site performance, while Meta and HubSpot help us measure campaigns, recognize returning visitors, and improve customer communication. We use browser and server-side conversion measurement with event identifiers designed to prevent the same conversion from being counted twice.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for event operations, transactions, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and legitimate business records. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Your choices
You can accept, reject, or change optional analytics and marketing technologies using Cookie settings in the site footer. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message and reply STOP to opt out of text messages. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to transaction, tax, security, consent-evidence, and legal retention requirements.
